Working at a place can give someone all the ins, and outs to navigating it and having a list of helpful tips and tricks ready to be shared. If it's your first time out on the slopes, don't even worry BrianHead is a great place to get your snow legs.

Dive into the world of BrianHead Resort with us. All that it offers, and many more tips.

Where is BrianHead Ski Resort?

Located just above Cedar Breaks National Monument, easily accessible via Parowan Canyon off exit 78 on the I-15 in Southern Utah. This 40 minute drive from cedar city lies just a short distance from both Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. For anyone traveling from out of town, they will find in Southern Utah you can find both snow capped mountains and red rock valleys all within a relatively short distance.

While working ticketing, I found myself meeting people from all sorts of places. Many would come from the sunny St. George Utah, or further destinations like Nevada, New Mexico or California. But even if you're from Utah and tend to stick to more Northern ski destinations, there may be deals you didn't realize were possible via BrianHead's partnering program.

Anyone who has a BrianHead Power pass will find many benefits. Including days of skiing to Purgatory, Snowbowl, Sipapu, Pajarito, Nordic Valley, Brian Head, Willamette Pass, Lee Canyon and Sandia Peak. The Power PassPower Pass Select, 4 Day Power Pass, and Brian Head Weekday Power Pass include six discounted lift tickets, each 35% off the online rate. We also always had discounts for those who had purchased their tickets in advance rather than waiting to walk in and purchase tickets.

What does BrianHead Ski Resort have to offer?

Equally as important as getting yourself set up to hit the slopes is actually getting on the lift and getting out there. One of the great things about BrianHead Ski Resort is the variety of trails that they have. As you can see in the image above, there are many different trails that will give you an idea of what sort of scenery and intensity you're in for upon hopping on that lift.

You will see upon reading more that Navajo Peak is mainly beginner to intermediate terrain. Meanwhile Giant Steps Peak offers more of the range from intermediate to advanced skiers/boarders. This is generally a great rule to follow. Navajo, while being mostly greens and blues has beautiful viewpoints and a bridge on the Najavo run that is so fun to ski under. If you find yourself making your way down paradise, often there will be skiers, and snowboarders especially, who go up on the outskirts of the trail and catch some air.

If you have your ski legs and want to get over to Giant Steps Peak, its as easy as just hopping on lift #4 Navajo Express, taking run Kodachrome all the way down to lift #3 Alpen Glow and up to lift #7 The Dunes. Then after having some fun on that side of the mountain, if you're wanting to return to Navajo Lodge its as easy as taking Alpen Way over to make it to Wildflower (lift #1).

Either Lodge will have a cafeteria offering scenic views, and a place to rest and refuel for a moment. And if you're needing a caffeine boost, Navajo has an indoor cafe whereas Giant Steps has an outdoor food truck offering warm drinks. You can always get some warm drinks, hot, or cold food from the lodge cafeterias. There is also a lodge gift shop right across from the ticket counter at Navajo lodge in case you forgot something, or just need some good souvenirs.

Together we ride!

As a late to the game ski enthusiast, who picked it up later on while working at a ski resort in college, I found I love to chill down the slopes

Meanwhile my husband likes to jump off cliffs and always counts down the days to ski season. We've found joy, friendship, and long lasting memories out on those snowy hills.

At CARVE CULTURE we love to help others do the same no matter their background.
